Emma Raducanu concludes this year's campaign and will keep trainer through next year.

The British player reached the third round in three out of four Grand Slam events during the season.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in her remaining competitions of the year due to a health issue she has been fighting over the past 10 days.

At 22 years old had planned to participate in events in Asia but chose to travel back to recover before starting next year's training.

These plans will involve coach Francisco Roig, as the pair will keep partnering again next season.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring in her opening round versus Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and retired when behind 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

She again required medical attention at the recent Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.

She was also playing with clear difficulty in the third set versus Zhu owing to back discomfort that has affected her at times this year.

Those results meant an encouraging season, in which the player advanced into the international top 30 after a long gap in more than three years, ended with three successive defeats.

She held three match points then was defeated by American player Jessica Pegula in the third stage in last month's Beijing event.

She secured 28 victories in the current season and advanced to the semis in Washington, but her standout performance was at the Miami event in March.

The British number one made the last eight of this WTA 1000 tournament, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed on the way prior to a loss in three sets to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She worked with Mark Petchey as coach between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig taking over ahead of the US Open.

The original arrangement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was for the remainder of the year but they will keep working together, with a training block pencilled in in the coming months.

She mentioned that the trial session alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

She nearly succeeded to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati during August.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she advanced to round three before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
