Los Angeles witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.

Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout

Los Angeles area celebrations featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.

Social media videos show countless of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.

“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an translator.

The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Pre-Parade Festivities and Athlete Responses

Celebrations began prior to the procession, with supporters setting off fireworks in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke directly about the win.

“Losing is not an option,” he said. “I love the Dodgers. This city means everything to me.”

Varied Responses and Community Spirit

However, Mark Walter received a cooler reception at the rally. Recordings from the gathering appear to show him walking onstage to a mix of cheers and boos, with negative shouts punctuating his speech.

The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more support.

“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” he said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
