Three Named as Finalists for Young Sports Personality Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Athlete of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be televised from 19:00 GMT.

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
Littler's Profile

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
